Forrest Galante is synonymous with the natural world, outdoor survival and wildlife expertise. Growing up in Harare, Zimbabwe, Forrest harvested a deep love and strong connection with the natural world that put him on his path in life. After political unrest forced his family to move back to California, Forrest's love with the outdoors grew.
Over the course of his life, Forrest Galante has caught crocodiles, swam with several species of sharks, photographed venomous reptiles, outsmarted a startled hippo, dodged a cyclone and had countless other adventures. He pursued a career in high-risk wildlife biology fieldwork, with a focus on animals close to extinction. His approach with wildlife, passion for the outdoors and extraordinary background has led to the development of his own Animal Planet television show, 'Extinct or Alive.' The show shadows Galante on expedition as he searchers the earth looking for wildlife believed to be extinct.
